Vocus used to reduce the solvent emission at Portuguese flexo printer

Heerenveen | 09-02-2011

Showing a great care for environmental problems, the Portuguese flexographic printing company Plasteuropa S.A. selected the VOCUS as best available technology. In May 2011 a system with three reactor is installed to reduce their solvent emission below the European VOC emission limits.

The VOCUS is increasingly becoming the preferred technology for reducing solvents emissions. At average VOC concentrations up to 3 g/m3 the VOCUS provides much lower energy consumption than the conventional treatment with thermal oxidizers (RTO). As a result Pure Air Solutions rapidly gaining ground all over Europe.

With global greenhouse emissions from fossil fuels like gas expected to increase at an exponential rate and regulations becoming more stringent, there is a clear need for clean and low-cost air emissions control solutions. With their high performance, biological systems Pure Air Solutions offers a clean and cost-effective alternative to outdated, traditionally used technologies like RTO’s.
