VOCUS also reduces solvent emissions in Hungary
Budapest | 09-05-2011
Only 5 months after the introduction of the VOCUS in Hungary, Pure Air Solutions can already announce their first Hungarian order from Harsona. This flexoprinting company was close to buy an RTO, but was just in time to find Pure Air Solutions biological solutions for reducing their solvent emissions (VOC). The VOCUS was selected because it has the lowest cost and smallest carbon footprint compared with any other technology.
Harsona calculated that the cost for gas and energy consumption from the RTO would be around € 130.000 per year at an average voc concentration of 659 mg/Nm3. The operational cost for the VOCUS are estimated at € 20.000 per year, so compared with RTO there is huge return on investment possible with the VOCUS. Another great advantage of the VOCUS is its modular design enabling Harsona to build the system in 3 phases spreading the investment cost.
Also from an environmental perspective the Vocus is more favorable than an RTO, because of the threat of future CO2 emission taxes and NOx emission (caused by burning of gas). The VOCUS reduces solvents emission with biotechnology, a green, clean and cost-effective way to comply with the solvent emission directive. For this reason also the regional Hungarian environmental authority is very pleased with the introduction of the VOCUS.
Pure Air Solution’s sales Hungarian sales representative, Mr Daniel Horvath, is very pleased: “We are very excited that Harsona selected us in favor of incineration and believe that this first step in Hungary is further evidence of the market’s recognition of Pure Air Solutions leading position in VOC control in Europe.”
