The Vocus is claimed to be a system that can treating volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the atmosphere to cut company's organic solvent emissions.

The new system, from Pure Air Solutions, is claimed to be competitive when compared with other VOC abatement technology, such as non-thermal oxidation and active carbon systems.

It is said by Pure Air Solutions to achieve efficiency levels of 80 per cent - 99 per cent in a consistent, cost-effective and sustainable manner.

Pure Air Solutions added that one Vocus system can achieve savings equivalent to up to more than 100 households on gas consumption.

With its patented design, the Vocus is acknowledged by the Dutch Ministry of Environment as one of the most innovative, economical and environmentally friendly methods of VOC treatment, added the company.

The development of the system was partly funded by the Dutch Ministry of Trade and conducted in cooperation with various partners, such as the University of Valencia in Spain.
