Reducing emission of organic solvents

Reducing emission of organic solvents (Volatile Organic Compounds) into the atmosphere is of an increasing strategic importance for many companies.

Especially for companies which do not know, technically or financially, how to reduce their organic solvent emissions, Pure Air Solutions developed an innovative abatement technology.

The Vocus, as Pure Air Solutions named this technolgy, can play a significant role in treating volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) from a variety of industrial processes which have to comply to the European directive 1999/13/CE . It is extremely competitive compared with other VOC abatement technology (e.g. non-thermal oxidation, active carbon). It accomplishes high removal efficiencies (80% – 99%) in a consistent, cost-effective and sustainable manner. One Vocus can save up to more than 100 housholds on gas consumption.

With its smart  design, the Vocus achieves an entirely new level of performance in VOC Control. Its superior performance and economic benefits, is acknowledged by the Dutch Ministry of Environment as one of the most innovative, economical and environmentally friendly methods of VOC treatment.

The development is partly funded by the Dutch Ministry of Trade and conducted in cooperation with various techno-partners like the University of Valencia (Spain).
