Two prestigious orders from Belgian Flexo Printers

After considering to buy an RTO (incinerator) or Solvent Recovery System, 2 Belgium flexo printers, Cirepa and Gallopin, both have awarded Pure Air Solutions a contract for the VOCUS. It´s a huge success for the company after they introduced the Vocus in Belgium in May this year.

Driven by European legislation (directive1999/13/EC) to reduce solvent emissions into the atmosphere, both companies are forced to install a VOC control system. RTO appeared to be a costly and fossil fuel consuming technology. Besides being confronted with high annual cost, it seems paradoxical to reduce solvent emissions while the burning of fuel produces carbon dioxide.

Pure air solutions, a Dutch supplier of air pollution control equipment, is the first European company to implement a biological technology for the reduction of solvent emissions. The technology, called Vocus, provides companies and environmental authorities with a green and cost-effective solution
