Pure awarded 3rd Biofiltration project at ADM
London | 15-10-2010
Today Pure Air Solutions has been awarded their 3rd advanced biofiltration project at Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM). Under the terms of the agreement, Pure Air Solutions will supply an Odour Control Unit to remove the odorous compounds from a plant in Erith (UK) where oilseeds are converted into fuel and industrial food products.
The system, which includes 6 dual stage biofilters and a heat exchangers, is expected to treat approximately 45.000 m3/hour of complex contaminated air. The System is expected to be fully operational in the second quarter of 2011 and follows the installation of an Odour Control Unit at ADM plants in Europoort, The Netherlands, and Odessa, Ukraine.
“Odour increasingly becomes a strategic issue for industrial companies as odour nuisance is progressively more controlled by authorities, influenced by public opinion,” said Commercial Director, Albert Waalkens. “We are very excited that ADM again selected us as their preferred supplier and believe that this new project is further evidence of the market’s recognition of Pure Air Solutions leading position in odour control in Europe.”
